No meat for 365 day 1

Well I was out on a date, yes date, courting is allowed though some would disagree my wali al amr (guardian) is aware who I am with. We went to have juice and ended up eating wonderful healthy meat free Middle Eastern tabouleh, babagnoush, humous, pickles and brown pitta. Alhamdulillah so far so good, baby steps back to healthy eating.
A bit of planning is required, I went with my friend to a Thai grocery store and bought things like shiitake mushroom, nori seaweed and wasabi powder, enoki mushrooms and veggie because tomorrow insha’allah we will be making more sushi….yeeeeeh!
I’m feeling lighter already.
